Alto Collective Premium Wood Phone Cases
 

So I've been in the market for a new iPhone case and I stumbled onto Alto Collective wood phone cases. They're doing a kickstarter right now and they're offering an early bird special:

"EARLYBIRD: ANY case for just $25!!! Choose one case from any of these pledge levels: ExoticWood, Design, Burl, Inlay ______For iPhone and Samsung Galaxy: 4/4s, 5/5s, 5c and S3, S4."

Just wondering if anyone had experience using them before? I like their designs and using wood seems to stand out from the run of the mill cases...especially since no wood grain is the same. Anyone have a wood or bamboo case before?

I like that they're offering different woods that seems neat

nope unfortunately they only make cases for iphones (another thing that's great about alto is they offer more than one phone)

shame it looks like these alto cases are only wood veneer (could be wrong)

i wanted to buy one just for the heck of it though but never did

grovemade? yeah they're quite famous and been around for quite some time

I think the Grovemade is actually better as the entire case is based on wood?

The kickstarter one seems to just slap a sheet of wood on a polycarbonate case?

Edit: Actually the Grovemade has some plastic insert inside. But it does craft the whole thing out of wood.

but Grovemade is like $99 for the ones with pattern........and would be heavier too....

Ya the reason the kick starter interested me is that it's only $25

I just ordered one from Alto via kickstarter. It's picking up a lot of steam. Good to support a Canadian company too. I will let you guys know how it goes!

Looks like the kickstarter is going ahead. Did anyone else order from here?
