In Jasper while driving from Edmonton back to Van. Taken with my shitty cell phone. The side steps were covered in ice 6" thick.

How were the roads after jasper? Going to be doing that drive hopefully within the next couple weeks.

Changes all the time, hwy 16 can be a real cunt. I was white knucklin most of the way doing about 50-70km/h. Personally if you're gonna be doing it in a couple weeks you "should" be ok, you'd just have to watch for a freak storm to pass through. Best bet is to take a very good look at the weather the morning of and that'll give you an indication.

Advice, keep it in 4wd, go slow, signal and pull off to the side to let the semis pass you (they fucking haul ass when the weather is shits), and know when to pull over and take a nap.

It must be fun as hell to drive, the only thing that would worry me is safety. Especially with that extra abarth power.

It's not an abarth. It's a tuned 500t. 200 whp 230 wtq and raised rev limiter. It's a lot of fun :D

Wow, (200whp=~230bhp) don't you think it's a bit risky adding 70% more horsepower with just a tune? (stock=135hp on the 500T)

Damn I drove a tuned Abarth that was probably pushing approx the same numbers. Most fun car ive ever driven ripping around the city

IIRC was only a Magneti Marelli tune, intake and exhaust that was done. Pulled hard.

Only if I'm reckless. Theres a larger turbo waiting for me in Seattle. :D

The best part of owning the abarth was the effortless street parking

An abarth with the magnetti marelli box on the same dyno makes 180 whp. The difference in power across the curve is pretty stark. Piggy backs are fun but a proper tune is where it's at. These things are tuned by torque tables and actually fight the piggy backs over time. You end up needing to reset the ECU every few months to maintain the benefit.

Funny that you mention it, but the car actually did act up weirdly at random times. Misfires everywhere, CELs on all the time, would stall randomly.
Brought it back to SR where they modded it and it would be fixed for couple days at a time.

Ended up selling it shortly after.
