Inner chest pain

When I first started to notice this pain it was in the center of my two pecs. At first I thought it was pain/soreness related to not stretching out my muscles after working out. When I straighten up my back and puff out my chest, I can feel the pain right in the center.

That should give you an idea of what kind of feeling I'm getting, it feels like soreness of the muscle, but other times the pain makes me feel like its in my lungs. I was careful to always stretch out my chest from then on. But recently, in my hiatus of working out, I received this pain again. Except this time its more focussed in my right inner upper pec, and it was a sharp pain or sharp soreness, can't really differentiate.

Has anybody ever gotten anything similar?

Ive had an "ice pick" sensation that occurs randomly in episodes for at least 15 years now and my doctor has come to the conclusion that it's costochondritis. Not saying that your situation is the exact same but there's a possibility since it can be inflammation

When it happens, does it happen suddenly?

Does it correlate to breathing in/out?

it does relate to breathing in and out and especially coughing that's why I include the possibility of lung-associated risks.

It usually happens in the morning when I wake up, then dissipates after 2-3 hours. Today that's the pattern of it, but I felt it again at 6pm for a bit.

I felt it recently after smoking copious amounts of weed the day before.

Could be costosternal subluxation, which is basically a rib joint issue. It can happen from overactivity and/or misalignment..
Maybe see a Chiro or Rmt

I had the same but it only happened during the past 2 days and I don't smoke anything and I don't feel the pain during exercise or any activity. Doctor told me it was acid reflux and take some tums.

That really doesn't sound the same at all.....:suspicious:
