Need for Speed: Rivals....wtf is this garbage So I've been a big fan of the Need for Speed series for a long time now, and I'm sure we can all agree that no game in this series will ever beat Underground 2...but this is just getting out on hand with how bad they are. I get that you wanna come out with a new Need for Speed game every year EA but all your doing is adding a car here, taking one out there, and not putting any effort into ACTUALLY MAKING THE GAME BETTER!!! I get it's an "arcade style" game now, I really do, but when you make a mustang that you start off with able to keep up with the Mclaren P1...*drops controller and leaves* :rukidding: Last one I'll be buying until they seriously change, or go back to what they were doing right before Figure out your shit and make Underground 3 already...now that game would sell like crazy, and with today's new tuner sector cars coming out it's the perfect time to do it. #rantover PLEASE tell me you ppl think this game is shit too... :ahwow: |
you bought it knowing its a arcade play game......... why didnt you buy gt6, or forza, or some other sim? |
i wish ps4 came out with gt6 brah :okay: |
I actually really enjoy the game, the visuals are amazing, the music is amazing. I'm not much a fan of Simulation games like GT6 or Forza. This game is perfect for people like me who just want to drive to have fun, crash into shit just because, and not be so serious about. |

I actually agree with you.. Except my patience ran out after Undercover. I'm going to go backwards here: Undercover was a shitty game, with an awesome movie-like trailer. Sure, Maggie Q was a nice touch and all, but there was nothing going on for the game itself. I played it on PC, the menu interface was horrendous. Depending on the submenu, you'd have to press ESC to go back, or press backspace. Terrible, terrible UI. :seriously: ProStreet was a complete mess. Even the menu screen was garbage. Felt like an incomplete game. I'm not even sure was there a world map in that game. Maybe there was? I don't know... I only lasted about 2 hours playing that awful game. NFS Carbon was a pretty decent game. My memory's a bit fuzzy cause it's been so long. I can't remember did it have day time driving in that game, but none the less, it was not bad. The mountain pass racing was fun. NFS Most Wanted, to me, this game was just ridiculously hard. TBH, I found the cop chasing a distraction, cause I couldn't really go all out with my car before getting 3 Rhinos and 2 chopters after me within a few minutes. I know the addition of police cars is the big feature about this game, but just not my personal cup of tea. Also, the game itself was pretty hard. I don't think I ended up beating this game. I was stuck on the 2nd or 3rd racer. Also those shortcut paths are bullshit, where the PC will always hit every single one in the higher levels, and one mistake and you're fucked, might as well restart. Not exactly what I would expect from an arcade racing game. Underground 2, the first NFS game I played. And man, I could jizz in my pants playing that game again. In fact, I tried reinstalling it for old times' sake just 2 days ago. But for whatever reason, I can't get it to run on my current system. It's not even widescreen capable. And I'm :QQ: deep inside, cause it will truly be the best NFS game ever. Even down to the UI, it was perfect. All the NFS games that came afterward sadly changed their UI. For example, in NFSU 2, when you're choosing aftermarket rims, you can still see the entire car, therefore, you can see how the rims would look with the rest of your car. In all the newer games, it zooms in, so all you can see is your fender and wheel, and you can't even rotate the view to get a preview shot of your entire car with the new rims. That's some backward innovation there. And that's not just for the rims, that's for every body part you're modding. It fucking zooms in so you can't even see a preview of the entire car with the modded part. :fulloffuck: Music Tracks: I personally like a lot of the tracks in NFSU2. But besides this, pressing the "T" key would change to the next track. Can you do that in any of the other games? NO. You can't. WTF. Map: NFSU2 has the best mountain passes. I can't remember how many times I would time attack on those mountain passes, muting the in-game music, and playing Initial D music in my WMP, and then alt tabbing back into the game. I think Carbon might have had some too, but I don't recall if the other games had any. I'm pretty damn sure ProStreet didn't, cause it didn't even have a world map. Modding: NFSU has so many things you can mod, and you can mod them all independently. It's not like the newer games where you get 3 full body kits to choose from. And most of them are pretty fucked up too, probably designed by the ricey-ist ricer in the EA development team. I chose to go stock bodykit most of the time, cause I didn't want 2 park benches on my trunk, with hood scoops and vents plastered all over my vehicle. If they ever make NFSU3, I 'm not even sure should I be looking forward to it. Cause it will probably be a disaster. Hey, maybe they might make a nice trailer for it at least. //rant. |

EA does this for a lot of their games. They are a shit company and its not surprising they were voted one of the worst companies 2 times in a row. I think the company will eventually die with the way they do their business unless they do something about it. The last game I got from them (as a present) was the latest simcity and it was complete garbage. They released it way too fast with too many bugs and glitches. Everyone was pissed off because the servers which you had to play on wouldn't even work properly. Deadlines are important but looking at how Rockstar had to delay GTA5, it disappointed a lot of people but it was the right decision to not release a game that wasn't ready. |
its almost as if they believe they have a monopoly in the industry and can do whatever they want. |
is your RSX gonna be featured in Underground 3? :troll: but seriously...Underground 2 was great for the open world races but I wouldn't consider it to be the best in the series check out Porsche Unleashed or the original NFS |
I've actually been playing Forza Horizon lately. Sure, it's a hell of a lot more of an arcade style game than the rest of the Forza series, but it's enough of a sim...ish game that you're not keeping up to a Lambo in your AE86. Seems to be the best of both worlds. |

NFSU2 was the best of the series, I was contemplating Rivals just cause I saw it on sale, but after seeing some reviews, i decided against it. Seems a lot of people were unhappy with the framerate cap that EA imposed with no way to remove I`m hoping NFSU3 will be released sometime soon, but EA has proven they`re turning into a car wreck themselves with all their recent releases. Maybe Rivals was to match the shittiness of the upcoming NFS movie :) |
Best game for crashing into stuff? Pft. Carmageddon has got that one beat, hands down. ;) |
