Lifestyles like such can only last so long before getting busted. At this time and age twas difficult to survive working illegally.

With a legit job that payed so much I guess the greed took over him. Sad to hear but wish him the best in the future in finding another way of life.

lol you keep thinking asian gangs are on the top. Different ethnicity operate under different ways and it also depends where you live. I would say HA would be the most notorious of them all in Canada that is. Get your head out of the gutter, you live in Canada.

Think about that next time you buy a girl a drink at a club and she doesn't talk to you after, haha!

Agreed. A friend of mine borrowed a friends Lambo (this was 8-10 years ago, when seeing one of the road was actually rare) and we were meeting at Yaletown for dinner. He's a shorter, kinda metrosexual type of guy. From the time he parked the car and walked to the restaurant he had already been stopped by a girl that randomly tried to strike a convo and gave him her number. At the end of dinner, some other chick (which we didn't see) stuck her business card with a note on the window.

I don't see it as greed, as opposed to just "easier" money.

The guy is making $60K annual form his first job right out of graduation. He won't be celebrity rich but he'll be highly financially comfortable by the time he's 40 or 50; and I'm just assuming this on his income alone - nevermind if his household was to become a dual income househould like it most likely inevitably will be.

But getting shit on while you're a junior in some firm and enjoying the perks and lifestyle in your 20's and early 30's which otherwise would take you a decade or two to reach enjoy... I can see why some kids would make the decision Brian just made.

Great read though. Thanks OP

bro, he was forced into this life because he couldn't be as good as his older brother. He had no choice but to sell drugs and it is totally reasonable to think he had no idea his coke/meth dealer friends were bad guys.

I think there was a quick shout to that movie in Harold and Kumar go to White Castle when the extreme posers stole that parking spot. One of them said "better ruck tomorrow" :lawl:.

I bet the thing that Brian Shin feels most guilty about is bringing shame to, and disappointing, his parents.

great read. in the end his downfall came from working with others. In his early days he said this was the reason he worked alone, curious as to why he didnt stick to that
