Pioneer Faceplate Compatibility
 

Hi,
I have a pioneer deck, DEH-5400BT and lost the faceplate for it. looking online it seems DEH-6400BT is more readily available.

My manual is for both decks and it seems the only difference is colour customization in the 6400BT model.

Does anyone know if the 6400BT faceplate is compatible with the 5400BT? The only thing Pioneer was able to tell me is that it will physically fit but could not confirm anything else.

EDIT: prices for OEM were $85 USD where the other compatible model was anywhere from $50 to $100

You should be able to get a new deck with the same features for under $150. Also the install should be dead simple. maybe take 10 minutes.
