Engine bay parts list for Mazda 3

Hi I was doing my own oil change on the weekend and notice a part came loose so i pulled it out.

I was wondering if theres anything i can find online to find out what the part is called and does ?

The part is lcoated near the fan and it looked like a belt but its paper, sort of like carboard paper material.

Take a photo of it and put it up. I'm sure we can determine what it's from/for.

They're only on every car other than GT-Rs

Could be for the exhaust bearings?

maybe that's for the FUFU valve, you need to top up the snake oil too don't forget.

:worthless:

on a side note, are those fails correct? O_O

Not sure if those Helm's manual or dealer parts diagrams are available online but that would be your best bet. Or you could phone a Mazda dealer and talk to the parts guy. They can pull up the diagram and hopefully pin point the part based on your description. I have done this before so it is possible. Or you could post a pic so we can try to help.

meme405 01-21-2014 03:44 PM

Lol based on OP's description it sounds like a piece of carboard was sucked up into his engine bay...

A piece of paper that seems like a belt...? :seriously:

Timpo 01-21-2014 05:42 PM

he probably bought his car from shady dealer at Kingsway and they put some sort of cardboard to replace for a part that was missing
