24 on Mondays. Then Agents

2 more episodes of Agents of Shield :(

The swerve at the end was so damn predictable :lol

Anyone else recognize Partlow from The Wire?

So good, already a delivered an awesome line

Feels great to see Jack back on TV. 24 is one of my favorite shows. It's too bad it's only 12 episodes though.

Are they using this "event" to gauge interest in 24 to see if ti's worth it to keep going? I would love it if they did at least one more full season.

Yes.

Lots of bits and pieces that stood out to me.

Why is the President rolling around in a clearly unarmoured early 2000s-model stretch S-Class? Not entirely supporting America if he's riding around in a German-made car.

Since when does being a consulate mean you have authority over the local fire and police?

How did Jack know they captured Chloe if Special Activities Division's detainees are all top secret? Jack's good with guns, not computers. Can't imagine he hacked his way to that info.

How is it that CIA (officers? agents?) can operate openly and freely in a foreign country? Armed with automatic weapons no less?

Honestly, I wasn't paying too close attention to the episodes when I watched them, despite what it seems. These things just stood out a lot that didn't make a whole lot of sense.

yes there's tons of backstory...and without watching 24 in its glory years you wont be able to appreciate this new one. If my memory is correct you need to watch up to season 5 (pretty much when the show stopped being good) and the end of the final season (8).

I'm guessing from that pal of his who broke him/chloe out from underground

the rest of your post is too nitpicky imo...esp the comment on the president's motorcade in Europe. Being a network show it's expected there's gonna be plotholes/conveniences. My turn to nitpick: i'm a bit annoyed by the blue-tint/HDR effect they're going for vs the old golden/yellow palette in earlier seasons...it feels like im playing battlefield 3 :heckno:

so far the show is not bad...i like that the plot is focused on the drone controversy which is pretty relevant...even though they kinda did it in Homeland (same producer). One thing where 24 shines is the POTUS...Palmer, Logan and Heller. I hope they bring Agent Pierce back

Chloe is so nasty. Very hard to look at, even worse with this new "punk/hacker" look. Ugh.

Although Chloe is a nasty looking hacker "info analyst", the show has some pretty blondes like Agent Kate. :woot2:

Yup! Though he looks pretty damn different now. I'm ashamed to admit how long it took me to place Hannah from Dexter, got all the way through episode telling myself "damn she looks familiar".

At first I was rolling my eyes at the Lisbeth Salander knock-off new character for Chloe but half way through, she's starting to grow on me again.

You're right, I tried watching the first episode and I had no idea what was going on.

have you heard of a show called Dexter? She's probably more well known for that

jlo mein 06-10-2014 10:05 AM

Listening to Margo when she's looking at the grainy thermal video feed..."find them!"...."there they are!"

couldn't help but laugh and think about this CSI meme...

Manic! 06-10-2014 11:55 AM

So they lock on to a target with the drone fire the target moves the missile misses. So why lock on in the first place? If it's not heat seeking just fire the dam missile.

pastarocket 06-10-2014 04:39 PM

Boudreau needs to work on his writing. Russian guy spotted that fake signing easily haha.

rsx 06-10-2014 06:54 PM

Really stupid how the drone missed. Fucking stupid.
