need a mechanic !

My 2004 corolla is showing a check engine oil light, and is having troubles starting in the morning. Don't want to take it to a dealership. Any good mechanics in Richmond I can somewhat trust?,RS sponsors?

Um... did you check your oil level? lol

Also, is it the oil pressure light or oil level light that's illuminated? If it's the former then you're fucked

I'm not gonna lie, I'm like a blonde chick when it comes to cars Lol

After getting the car started its fine throughout the day. But if the cars been parked overnight, itl take some key wrenching in the morning..especially as of late since its been cold.

red oil light? or yellow check engine light??

if your car isn't starting nicely, it might be as simple as a battery!

Yellow light. The battery does seem fine though. No problem with dash cam, turning on lights, etc but I am gonna change the battery this week.

Just got a feeling its something more mechanical than a battery

Alternator?

He's having trouble telling us exactly what light is on... so I don't think he knows what an alternator does or what fluids a car has, let alone identify the underhood reservoirs or how to operate an obd scanner. So please stop giving him suggestions on what to check, but give suggestions on where to go.

And there's no need to replace the battery if its cranking over fine and holding a charge. No need to throw parts at something completely unrelated to the issue at hand.

scary. someone please help this guy before some ripoff mechanic charges him $xxx for muffler bearings.

did you check the turbo?

PLUJ 02-07-2014 08:37 PM

Could maybe be your fuel pump, don't know any mechanics in Richmond. I searched on Google, and seems like Minit-Tune & Brake, in Richmond has good reviews
