Cik cable internet So i'm intrigued with their $30 25Mb/2.5Mb plan (referral) that will be a lifetime non-contract pricing....this will save me an extra ten bucks a month (i'm a cheapskate)....anyone using this service abd can comment in reliability and speed...for $40 they have voip and a free android box with some chinese streaming stuff... From reading around, this will end soon Posted via RS Mobile |
never heard of this company.. sounds pretty good.. they have a lot services in lots of area in Canada also... hmm... for anyone else curious... googled the website https://www.ciktel.com/portal/Eng/Re...vice/index.asp |
Wow they are offering FTTN... Thats impressive, this must mean its only available in certain areas that have pre run fiber lines. I wonder who's lines they are piggy backing off of? You said it was cable though? |
Heard they are down alot according to RFD |
Shaw in the west.... It helps if you can speak mandarin from what i've read in rfd.., Posted via RS Mobile |
AIC Telecom has something similar. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe they are another Telus and Shaw reseller, that offers lower monthly internet rates, in exchange for low bandwidth caps. For a 25mbps/3mbps line, they will give you a 200GB cap. then charge you outrageous over-limit fees. You should check out Teksavvy instead. $39.95/month with 300GB cap, and unlimited bandwidth between 2am-8am, perfect if you have a file server setup. http://teksavvy.com/en/residential/i...cable/cable-25 |
Thanks but I have teksavvy and its 39 for the unlimited...i did mention that i'm cheap...hehe Posted via RS Mobile |
what actual speeds do you guys get with teksavvy? |
I paid for the 7.5 but am always at 20+ Mbps so im stoked about that part... Posted via RS Mobile |

Your 25 is only a 10 seconds boost, afterward it will drop back to whatever speed that you pay for. Unless you can find a speedtest that can last for a minute or two else you can't test it properly Shaw does the same thing with their service |
