for my friend's house warming, I filled up a hamper with lots of stuff they'd use daily including:

The hamper
Windex and other cleaning supplies
Toothbrushes and toothpaste
Paper towels
Garbage bags
Mugs
some microwave popcorn/chips/hot chocolate and other snackables

For a dude, a tool kit/bag for the house!

The best part of it is you can go big or small and there are tons of tools you can select from.

Think about what they will need to do and the tools that they will need to do it.

Wall mount a TV,
Assemble a bed, table, cabinet, etc.,
Hang pictures,
Measuring shit.

Thinking of picking one up as a spare gift, while they're on sale.

Fancy garbage can. (Simple Human: butterfly) I have the same one. Good gift if he doesn't have one yet. That way everytime he uses it at home he will think of you.
