Toronto got extension for bar hours so they can serve alcohol starting at 7am and Vancouver gets nothing haha.

Kaner is awesome. It seems like he plays with his heart on his sleeve. Here's a post-game interview from this year after a game which he played short after hearing that his grandpa died. Different crying context, but still shows a different side from the (shall we say, now old) drunk, party-animal, cabbie-beating Patrick Kane. I'm probably speaking too soon about him changing, and we'll probably see him on Deadspin again in the near future. But all indications this season (including lighting up opponents) seem to point to a reformed Kane.

Wow, just got back from short trip to US. Got my 100 for 100 at the casino, filled up gas at Costco and went shopping. There were tonnes of Canadians in there proudly displaying their hockey jerseys. It was a festive atmosphere. We were all high five-ing each other, LOL. Totally safe, BTW, as Canadians outnumbered Americans by at least two to one in Costco this afternoon.

In the interview between periods, Wickenheiser was pretty upset by it. It was done at the last Olympics, too.

So many people have misunderstood that segment with don cherry.
