Will this battery fit into a 2003 BMW X5? Is there anyway to find out if this battery in this ad will fit into a 2003 BMW X5? BRAND NEW OEM BMW BATTERY It also says in one of the pictures that the battery is not retaining a charge, does this mean this battery was fixed? http://images.craigslist.org/01212_a...Br_600x450.jpg Thanks! |
The old battery wasn't retaining a charge so whatever is for sale in the ad is the replacement one. Easiest way to know if it'll work or not is look up the part number. Posted via RS Mobile |
It will fit but I won't buy that battery for $160 with a bad cell. |
I tried looking up the battery part number, but it doesn't give me any information on which vehicles it works in. I'm pretty sure this battery is the replacement battery for the car. Not the one with the bad cell. |
BMW uses universal batteries across all models since e36. If you are happy with the battery just buy it.. but even a slight tilt so electrolyte overflow from 1 cell to another can cause a short. Quote:

Measure your battery, and the replacement. If its the same size, and the posts are the same connection, AND it has the same CCA rating as the one you have, then it will work. |
