If I renew with mobi (I have some prepaid 12 month plan) and they go down am I SOL?

Depends how they do down. If they close their doors, file bankruptcy, etc..yes.

If they sell their company, I'm sure you would then become a client of the purchasing company and still have same services up until you need to renew (complete guess however)

So which is better? LTE band with 700/850/1700/1900 vs LTE band with 2100/2600?

I believe higher frequency has faster data speeds at the cost of coverage area...

850 1700 1900 are UMTS (3G) Bands

700 2100 2300(Telus) 2600(Rogers) are LTE Bands


Lower frequencies have larger wavelengths and can reach further distances. But it doesn't really matter to the end user.

You can't really make a decision on which carrier is better with this information as there is a high saturation with the big 3 in western canada.
