Enclosed car hauler trailer hey guys, has anyone have any experience or know where i can rent a 30+ ft enclosed car hauler trailer. I need to tow two cars down to california. Posted via RS Mobile |
You could try Sunrise: Sunrise Trailers sales & Rentals | Transport Trailers : Wells Cargo, Trails West and Eagle dealership in ALDERGROVE, CLOVERDALE and KELOWNA BC V4W 2B1 I have purchased trailers from them before with zero issues. Never rented from them although they do offer that service. |
You might find by the time you rent a trailer, pay for the fuel to get there and back, and take the time to drive down and come back empty, you might be better off just having them transported... |
i thought about putting both car in a container or pay a service to have both car transport to cali.but i will be bringing tool box, spare tires, jerry can and much more. |
Are you taking your vehicles down to Cali to for a track day? You could always pack the car(s) full of your tools, empty jerry cas, equipment, etc, have them transported and fly down and fly back from Bellingham. lowside67 has a great point though, the cost of fuel there and back(assuming you have your own truck) plus the trailer rental might be close to the cost of my suggestion plus your time spent making the drive. |
:( problem is both car is a miata.it can barely fit 4 wheels in the car |

Does a dually even be able to tow a 30' trailer? is it a good idea especially if you are inexperienced? |

A 3/4 ton would probably be able to get by towing one. I wouldn't think it's a good idea to tow one on a difficult route if you're inexperienced. 50' of total length is a lot to handle. Especially on a windy day. Quote:

^ That's the problem, most of the 30' trailers are all bed mount (gooseneck) ((for good reason)). |
At that lenght it will be hard; as I think 25ft+ are usually gooseneck trailers |
You could rent a 1ton cube van most are 16' a miata should fit in there and get some ramps and put 1 in there and get a tow dolly from uhaul and tow the other one. Or if u kno there will be flatbed tow trucks at ur destination then u won't need ramps to get the car out. Posted via RS Mobile |
