Im pretty sure I know the shop that installed that and one of the installers. He's actually the uncle to my missus.

That was back when more speakers = better!
Sound systems have sure come a long way. I can pretty much bet that my 5 speakers would sound better and play louder than this set-up. Bu then again I am running three times the power. :)

God dammit, Mike McCardell sounds as stupid way back when as he does now.

Not that this car -or sound system- are still around, but it would be cool to see/hear it in person present day. Just to see what a $27000 stereo got you back then.

Even for me, looking back at the car audio stuff I bought for my car back in high school (16 yrs ago! lol)... pretty funny  Man, I spent waaay too much money at Beamriders :fuckthatshit:

Being a GN theres a good chance that car is still around. The stereo not so much lol. Wires green with oxidation, the speaker surrounds rotten, the power transformers in the eql's burnt out but I'll bet the linear power amps still work lol

I have a feeling those amps put out more than 1500 watts. I'm going to guess that install was done at Speaker city because of the LP amps.
