Now that I watch that video... Not so sure. It's hard to say, because yes the guy should've dropped the knife, but at the same time the cops overreacted BIG TIME, I mean that cop bean bagging the guy in the ass, then letting the dog go off on him when he was CLEARLY out for the count was kind of fucked up. I'm not sure why these types of situations surprise people though? There will ALWAYS be times when police respond to a situation with too much force, just as there will be situations where a threatening suspect SHOULD'VE been shot, but was not, with the situation ending without a death. Given the way police are trained and armed in the United States, why do cases like this ever surprise anyone anymore? |
If you draw knives on the police and you die, it's your fault. He was still holding the knives and another dude popped him with bean bags to try to get him to let go. Yes, he was probably already dead but if I was a cop, I wouldn't take that chance. Personal safety and the safety of those around you trumps the life of a guy that decided it was a good idea to have two knives in his hands around a bunch of cops after the flashbanged him. I don't see anything wrong with what they did. |
Anyone stupid enough to threaten and refuse to comply with armed officers I have zero sympathy for. Why should they risk their lives to attempt to save the life of someone like this? |
