What phones to get?
 

Looking to get a new phone. Will be traveling to Hong Kong and China so I want a phone that's unlock for sure.

Currently using a Sony Z1. Really like the design and the UI. Is very clean and not messy (looking at you touchwiz....) also the keyboard app that comes with it is really good. Battery life is good. There are a few things I don't like about it. Phone is a bit large for a 5inch phone (Is almost as big as the note3). Charging this phone you have to open the water prof tab which makes it annoying at times. Viewing angle isn't the best but doesn't bother me much.

My trip is in Sept so I will need a phone before then. What I am looking for is a phone with good battery life, screen should be 4.5inch to 5inch and unlock and can support LTE, 4G in Hong Kong in China.

Any suggestions. Note I will replacing my Sony Z1 with this phone so looking for something that will last. I pre order the Samsung S5 from fido but it will most likely be lock, thinking about the Nexus 5 but the camera isn't that great and I will be taking a lot of pictures when I travel.

The S5 should be unlockable before September if you're willing to wait

Nexus 5? cheap, good and works in HK.. only HSPA.. not LTE...

As much as I hate to say it. I still find my iphone4 to be the best for the last 3 years I was using it.

Now it just seems there is always something I dislike about my current phone......

iphone 7 is your best bet then.

my best phone is still my Nokia 3310, nothing ever went wrong & i was a nice cheap phone

im not sure how well 4G is in china as it just started, my CDMA/EVDO 3G has been given me quite a lot of problems ( but its free, so cant complain there)
