How to determine required internet speed? (Shaw)

I'm reevaluating my TV/internet situation now that I've moved and I'm trying to sort out just how fast of a connection I need. Right now I'm with Shaw getting their Broadband 50 package (Speedtest says I'm getting about 45), now Shaw makes a pretty big jump from High Speed 25 ($30 promo, $60 regular) to Broadband 50 ($80) and then an even bigger jump to Broadband 100 for a minimal price increase ($90).

I'd like to drop down to High Speed 25 and save a few bucks if I can but I'm worried it won't be fast enough. Here's our current usage:

1-2 people on Netflix/Call of Duty/Battlefield/Guild Wars 2/other misc usage
On occasion 5+ people playing LoL/Dino Horde/CS:S/etc or some mix thereof
torrents are scheduled to only run at night when nobody is on, Netflix/CoD/BF are run through PS3's on wifi atm.

Do you guys think HS25 will be good enough for these demands? My biggest concern is that I found there was a noticeable bump in the ability to find servers in older games like CoD4 when we bumped up to BB50 while on wifi. Would running cat5 to the PS3's help cancel out the decrease in speed? I don't know if it's package speed or wifi that would hurt online gaming the most.

I'm with shaw 25 atm and here are my results

Check out my Ookla Speedtest result. What's your speed? Speedtest.net by Ookla - My Results

IMO, its sufficient enough for me as there's usually only one or two persons streaming video while I game on PC/PS3. There is noticeable lag though, my ping increases from around 20 to around 120 and theres also noticeable rubberbanding when playing PS3
