Leveling fluid is ur friend. |
Sorry to thread jack but.... how much does it usually cost for rock chip repairs on a hood? Posted via RS Mobile |
By leveling fluid do you mean add paint then layers of clear to get it flush. Maybe ill try this guide. How-To Repair Paint Chips & Deep Scratches |
I had a huge rock chip the size of a meteor crater. I had painted it with touch up paint, waited to dry, painted over it, repeated like 3 times and it was looking better. Albiet it didn't look perfect Posted via RS Mobile |
Buddy of a buddy of a buddy I have owns a place called "Chips Away". Never been there, but my buddy recommended it if I ever needed chips fixed up on hood or bumper. I believe it's in or near the white rock auto mall. |
If you follow these steps closely, the results should be very promising. |
Like the idea of the paint leveling fluid system . No sanding Is there anywhere locally were we can pick some up? |
I'm not suggesting you do this but I used nail polish remover and it works. Damp piece of paper, wrap it around a credit card. Mine came out great. |
