Having leased an IS250 (2006) with a manual transmission the vehicle is a great daily driver. Although the manual transmission isn't S2000 (or even TSX) smooth, the car was comfortable and required minimal maintenance. Some issues I found with the car through ownership; Back seat is cramped especially if you have more than four passengers. As stated by others the engine is quite gutless throughout the rev-range, sure its smooth but it didn't provide much excitement. The steering is very light therefore very little feedback is provided. Gas mileage is decent. It's a V6 so at the end of the day it's definitely going to require premium graded fuel. Other than that I really had no additional complaints. Great looking car that will be an excellent daily driver. My advice would be to test drive both vehicles and go from there. |
After reading more about the carbon buildup issue on the IS it seems like a pretty big issue. What's the consequences of this? Would it be easy for a mechanic to check for this? Posted via RS Mobile |
