you are such a loser. sadly you are also so inept that you wont ever accept this fact and try and better yourself.

sincerely, a 9-5 piece of shit.

depends on the person lol
it varied for me, when i first started it was at 3 cigs/day, peaked at a pack a day, then back to 5 cigs a day and by the time i quit, i was doing 1 or 2 cigs every few days

I go to work with some people who do up to 2 packs a day so it really varies

Usually people start spitting because of the bitter taste when they first start smoking. Then it just becomes a habit and your saliva glands get accustomed to generating more saliva while you constantly spit them out. Sort of like a vicious cycle...

^ This!

Even when I smoked a few years ago, I fucking hated walking behind other smokers. Same with by doors and sidwalks.. I'd go in the alley etc to avoid making other people inhale my shit.

Now its vape all the way :jiggy:

Gumby 04-16-2014 03:25 PM

No construction workers chiming in about smoking? :)

ae101 04-16-2014 08:21 PM

what about cigars & pipes

Smoking trumps firearms related deaths every year in the US by a wide margin, on a scale of (aprx) 300,000+ to 19,000. I don't want to get into a war over gun laws in this thread, but which one is really the epidemic?

Second hand smoke is known to cause respiratory illness and/or cancer regardless of age, there are few things I hate more than people smoking in highly congested areas, nobody wants your cancer, thanks.

On the flip side, the number of deaths directly tied to the use of marijuana stands at a hand full, I'd rather people smoked weed than cigarettes.

I don't know what someone told you about Japan but the last time I was there you could still smoke outdoors and plenty of restaurants and bars still allow smoking indoors as well. The only place you can't smoke ever is in the train station.

Speaking of Metrotown
I was so fed up with food cort side 3rd level parking lot entrance, I wanted to write complaint letter but didn't know where to send...
so that entrance, of course, is non smoking area, plus, right next to the entrance is designated parking for drivers with baby or pregnant. Yet so many smokers smoke right there, even employees of mall stores.
it's been going on as long as mall existed yet nothing is being done.

I'm a smoker myself but I find that pretty fking stupid.

My trip to Japan last year definately helped me get back into smoking

Smoking inside a classy izakaya definately makes you feel like a boss :accepted:

You can smoke in so many places, even smoking sections inside starbucks.

jasonturbo 04-17-2014 07:57 AM

I used to smoke, I quit, smoking is disgusting.

... I miss it every single day :alone:

Slowly transitioning from smoking to vaping. But when I do smoke outside, I always stand away from heavy foot traffic areas, and take a few extra steps away when I see kids/babies approaching.

im pretty sure the amount of people that have died from weed is exactly 0

Phil@rise 04-17-2014 09:25 AM

I dont smoke but due to the generation that raised me I'm mostly numb to smokers. My parents smoked in the car with the window just cracked enough to keep the smoke outta their faces while driving (like that helps the kid in the back bathed in it) and when I was real young I remember people smoking in the grocery stores just butting out on the floor same with department stores.

That is on the table, there have been cases recently that question that statistic, though I agree with the general idea that weed is not a severe health risk.

Hondaracer 04-17-2014 01:55 PM

I'm sure weed has contributed to lung cancer in many cases it's just the person had other factors that more heavily influenced it

Obviously inhaling burnt carbons isn't healthy regardless the substance.

stupid thread got me self conscious when smoking outdoors

fliptuner 04-17-2014 04:16 PM

I remember right after I quit smoking, a few times I stood beside people smoking outside.

Me: I just quit.
Him: Oh sorry. You want me to move?
Me: Nah, I still miss the smell.

:badpokerface::okay:

Dear diary....

Ball.J.Inder 04-17-2014 06:29 PM

I agree some smokers are straight assholes. When I used to smoke I would go out of my way to avoid exhaling near people and I never understood the retards who stand literally right beside building entrances.

I'd been a smoker since I was ~14 now 22, and I didn't want to try vapes. My gf got me one for the past xmas (which forces me to try it) and I literally only smoke when I drink on the weekends. I never liked it when people tried to tell me to quit but for all you smokers I suggest you at least try vapes. I went from $12 dollars a day from cigs to $10 a week. Vapes allow you to smoke indoors and not smell like shit, and if you're an after meal smoker than you can have 2 puffs of a vape as opposed to 2 puffs of a cig than smoking the whole thing anyway so you don't waste it.
