I recall back in the mid 2000's when my GF and I moved in together. She needed a cell so we got set up with a Nokia 3205i. I liked it most since reminded me of my BMW (325is) |
The name change isn't bad at all compared to PwC changing Booz & Company to Strategy&. "Hey where do you work?" "Oh, I work for Strategy&...." |
Oh I remember having a giant heavy Nokia as my first cellphone in the early 2000s... Then I brought it to get the case modded to a fully clear one and the bastards cut my antenna inside so I had no idea why my phone turned shitty until I brought it into telus. Damn you early Richmond night market at some mall parking lot on No 3 Rd in the early 2000s!! I remember having snake as the only game on my phone. Renaming Nokia to anything Microsoft just makes me want one even less. (Not that I would get one in the first place.) |
lol i remember back then i would exchange cases with my friends over & over again, man those were good times |
i remember back in early 2000s when nokia was cool/relevant |

http://www.idhawati.com/wp-content/u...Nokia-8890.jpg Miss my 8890. I remember paying something insane like 800-900 for it. |
That is still, by far, one of my favourite phones! |

http://cdn2.gsmarena.com/vv/pics/nokia/nokia-e71-02.jpg Everyone is going nostalgic but this is quite honestly the best phone I ever owned. I don't know why but when you held it, it's perfect. The metal frame made it feel cool (literally). The phone felt super thin. The keyboard was fantastic and everything was the right proportion. |
Had me 4 Nokias... 8890, 6820, 7110 and 8800... all were great phones... I would always try something else in between but always found myself coming back to Nokia... After the 8800, I started using WinMo phones... then went to Android, iPhone, back to Android and now WinPho Actually, make that 5... I'm currently using a Lumia 1020. I always come back to Nokia... lol |

my first 3 phones were nokia. first phone ever was a 7210. second was the 8801. still my favorite looking phone. my third was the nokia n82. then i started with the blackberries. |
Been using nokia since the beginning and hopefully to continue. like many, I started off with a 5120, then 3330, 6600, E65, X2-01, and currently Lumia 625. |

really long story but the former ceos changes were working and re-growth was accelerating when Elop snuck in (at a rate Windows Phone could only pray for) so he had to put a stop to it and came out with that burning platform memo and prematurely announcing an end to symbian to stifle that regrowth asap that's why it boggled the minds of many that there were ppl defending Elop from being described as a trojan horse (they soon shut up though when it was painfully apparent) |

E71 really was, the best phone I ever owned! (Thanks slowguy!) It was until I bricked it with a foreign software update. :okay: :failed: |

i've also owned the N73 and the N95, but I like the E and the 8801 the best due to the metal frame and just how solid the phone felt. And the ball bearing slider on the 8801 was amazing too honestly, as much as the phone software quality has advanced, the build quality seemed better back in the day. I remember buying Nokias for $700-800 in highschool, but always looked for the ones that was made in Finland |

Nokia still makes cell phone carrier equipment! But they changed the name of that to NSN. Reflecting its merger with Siemens on this front. Nokia Siemens Networks. |
