Tweaking/Tuning my amplifer. I am not a car audio expert but I recently installed a subwoofer with amplifer into my car. I like the sound so far but I need another person's opinion. I remember some car audio place told me to go back after installing everything so they can tune it. |
My rule of thumb when tuning the sub has always been to turn the bass on the deck down quite a bit. Then I turn the volume on the deck up to almost max. Not fully max as this outputs distortion (usually) then I adjust the gain on the amp until I hear distortion in the sub. This usually prevents the cars speakers from distorting due to low frequency response (they aren't designed for it) and let's the sub do it's job (low frequencies) Posted via RS Mobile |
