Which video card to buy?

I'm looking at purchasing a graphics card sometime this month.
But I'm stuck between these two:
ASUS GeForce GTX 660 OC DirectCU 1020MHZ 2GB 6.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Video Card
Pre MIR: $229.99
Post: $209.99

or
Pre MIR: $204.99
Post:$184.99
EVGA GeForce GTX 660 FTW ACX Cooler 2GB 192BIT DUAL-LINK DVI-I DVI-D HDMI DP SLI Ready Graphics Card
http://img.ncix.com/images/91929_l.jpg
http://www.ncix.com/detail/evga-gefo...91929-1308.htm
The specs are fairly similar, but the EVGA has a slightly higher base/boost clock.
I will primarily be playing CSS, CS:GO, maybe DayZ,

Which one would you recommend and why?
Also if there are other comparable cards in the price range let me know.
I'm currently running on integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics and getting shitty fps(<100) in Counterstrike Source

System specs:
Mobo: Asus P8z77-V-LK
CPU: Intel 3770K
RAM: Kingston HyperX 8GB
PSU: XFX 550W
Monitor: Generic HP 1680x1050 HD

Thanks

With only $20 difference I would go with the Asus
Everyone praise the Asus Direct OC cooling. Quiet fans with great cooling performance.
EVGA should not be bad either.

For that price range, you can get the ati 270x is a bit more expensive for a bit more power

I was reading the upcoming AMD will have significant power improvement over the current gen to meet the 4K

Sorry to semi-threadjack this thread, but...

I'm upgrading my system to run 4k pretty soon but haven't seen much in the way of video cards capable of supporting 4k output. Any thoughts on current-gen cards or should I wait for the next-gen to come out? Any models I should look at in the meantime? Something capable of dual monitors, as well.

ACX cooler is pretty well-regarded...and EVGA offers best customer service in the business

lomac: there's nothing on the horizon in terms of new cards...rumour has it both camps will stagnate the market this year with current architectures

lots support 4K but only high-end $500+ cards can push 4K gaming. A note that most affordable 4k monitors right now only support 30Hz

I don't require a card that has gaming specs as it's solely intended for video editing.

You want a titan! Newegg.ca - EVGA 06G-P4-3791-KR GeForce GTX TITAN BLACK Superclocked 6GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

if you want more graphic oriented id say stick with amd

how much processing power do you need for video editing?
just look at the max resolution of any modern card...which should pretty much all support UHD

have you picked out your monitor yet? This one is a ridiculously good value with 8-bit panel/1ms refresh rate/60Hz if you dont mind TN and a crap stand. It was selling on newegg.com for $600USD

never had bad experience with Asus. MSI crapped out on me and support was not helpful at all.

Oddly for me, every EVGA GPU I've had has died. 9800GTX, GTX560TI, GTX670. No over clocking, the 670 was dead out of the box when I got it.

Fortunately their warranty is good, and dealing with them is easy. One of my cards I didn't know I had to register it to get more than one year warranty but the support guy still honored my warranty.

Only card I haven't had an issue with is my Asus 560ti. So my next card will likely be an Asus. I heard their warranty is pretty good too.

Are you editing in 4k or downscaling? I guess it'd be important to know if you'll be doing any effects anything like that that goes above and beyond normal loads. What's your budget?

Update

patiently awaits Watch Dogs release on the 27th

Just curious, what FPS are you getting on CS:GO with the 660?

Editing in 4k, then downscaling for the final product.
