All we do is resize them in the browser to 800px wide. You can click on them for full sized versions. It has always been like that. If they are uploaded using the attachments feature, then they will be lower quality probably. If you want to show me a specific post or thread, please link to it |

I don't know who you are trying to bullshit here, but I know for a fact that every single member on RS did not forget how to post pictures all of a sudden. So something must have changed. If you want to continue going a long denying the fact that you are working on fixing this shit behind the scenes then fine, but don't try to pull the wool over my eyes... The pictures in my build thread, on the very first post (Quote below), now look just as they did prior to your changes. They look perfect, because when I post I make sure to choose a size that is reasonable and doesn't break the forum tables (actually believe it or not I use 800px). |
I'm also having the stretched thumbnail picture issues which started a couple days ago. I thought it was because I got a Firefox update but guess not. |
The pic quality seems to be fixed, however, all of them are now squished. Took a screenie for you incase you cant see it on your screen. http://i61.tinypic.com/mah4j9.png |

For me the pics are squished now. New Post button 99% of the time will say i clicked twice. |
OK I think I know what caused it... try again once the caches flush |
looks normal now on my end now:thumbsup: |
Looks good on my end as well now. Skinny how does RS deal with oversize pictures? Like if a picture breaks the forum tables does RS just scale that image? Is there any way to add the feature of previews and then you can click on the picture to see the full size image? For example the way I have seen it on some other forums (Albeit not VBulletin) is there is a ~640x800 preview and then if you click that picture or a button it will display the native resolution file. I think that would be awesome. But the problem is fixed now, the pictures look good.:chairdance: |
Normally it just shrinks the display of the original image, setting the width to 800PX and the height to whatever it needs to be by ratio. However there was a setting in Google that would apply height and width into the HTML code. THis caused a problem because height was set strictly, and width was then changed to 800px wide. Normally if someone posts say a 1600x900 picture, it would display as 800x450. However Google was hard-setting it to 1600x900, then it would display in your browser as 800x900. That's why it looked squished. The issue is that they don't allow you to change settings for each individual site you are using their service on. So if I make a change to accommodate one site, it might break the others. |
For some reason pages/threads on RS do not refresh automatically as they did previously, I find I have to manually F5/Refresh to view new posts where I never used to have to. |
I've never had that feature :fulloffuck: |
Yeah, a lot of my pages aren't refreshing. Erasing cookies only helps temporarily. |
Yep, User CP and New Posts not refreshing. Also, after a thread is read, it's still highlighted like the unread ones. |
gotta refresh for chat to load properly on both firefox and chrome for my account pages seem to be not refreshing even after I closed the window and opened a new one to go on RS (on chrome only) firefox at home, chrome at work, IE on my phone has no issues :lol |
OK I was trying some things but I guess they didn't work :fuuuuu: I'll fix them later today |
I'm getting the refresh issue, too. It's very frustrating. I think the RS Hamster is terminally ill. |
This issue is more difficult to test for. If you are still having issues please post here |
Got internal server error message when trying to access a couple of threads, then clicking on this one, kept reloading. |
When I access the Shitty/Dangerous drivers thread, it's refreshing randomly as well http://www.revscene.net/forums/65475...ml#post8477563 |
please post something on this thread |
|
K looks like the 'have to refresh when it shows a new post' issue is gone.. for me at least |
