I'd buy a rebuilt vehicle if I planned to own it forever. The fact of the matter is, you can't sell them. Simple as that. I once called in about a couple of M3's I saw on Craigslist, due to their price my first question was "Do these have a clear title". His answer? "No, they are both salvage vehicle, this one had blah blah damage, this one blah blah blah." I said thanks, but i'm not interested. He then went off about how that's what everyone says, went into a big explanation of how minor the damage was. Blah blah blah. My reply "I agree, they are probably great cars. But I don't want to have to go through what your going through trying to sell the thing". That was the end of the conversation. ha The right vehicle, with the right history/damage will be fine. But don't expect to get any money in return in a resale situation. |
It's true that you'll have to price it lower than a non-rebuilt to sell, but then you bought it for a lower price as well so I'm not really sure why people worry about that. Quote:
