Just thought i would give you guys a heads up Intel Retail Edge summer deal is starting on may 14th so if you work at any of the participating retailers get your employment verified through the intel retail edge website and get the quizzes done.

Pricing

i7 4770K
Rock Legend: $76.00 USD
Rockstar: $96.00 USD
Producer: $111.00 USD

i7 4930K
Rock Legend: $156.00 USD

And saying things like this is how you get banned.

Why not just sell it to a member that needs it for cost and be an awesome individual?

dj bally 05-06-2014 03:10 PM

Oh i didnt know that would get me banned sorry. The reason why i wouldnt want to sell it at cost is because i have to do almost 30 quizzes just to get the producer status so id like to be compensated for my time and troubles... it would still be way cheaper then retail though! win win situation i make some money and a fellow revscene member still gets a good deal on a processor

A-Dev 05-06-2014 03:34 PM

If a fellow revscener could help me out here I would be very greatful!

I've always wanted to build my own PC.

Just a fyi, on the the intel site it states that the processors are not to be sold after. It's in the terms and conditions of the contract with them. AND it's much harder to do all the tests to get points to get you eligible for the program.

I've been in the program for 6 years and I have see people get caught selling products and getting banned from intel.

For the people who do have access to the program please keep it to yourself it's for you for a reason.

If you don't need it, I don't see a problem with helping someone out who does. But yeah buying it and trying to flip it on ebay or craigslist would be stupid. Helping out a fellow RSer is different though :)

The test that needs to be done takes a long time example you need 16 tests and for the past 3 months you have to be constantly doing more.

It's not something that you can just pick up. Unless you go to intel's events there's no way to be a "rock legend".

I know, that's why I would consider it a big favour, as opposed to merely flipping it. I already asked an LD friend who helped me out before, but he is keeping it for himself this time. If someone has status and isn't using it, I would appreciate a helping hand.

I was on sabbatical when the 4930K came out, so I never got to do a review. This would give me a second chance to do so. I could even help out with the tests.. my site has actually been used as a source in the quiz before

To qualify you need....
Quote:

To qualify for Producer Status, complete at least one of the following tasks:
Complete 50 Learning activities (does not include Certification Learning activities) in the last six months.
Be active on the Program Website for the last three consecutive months by completing at least three Learning activities each month (does not include Certification Learning activities).
Earn 25,000 Chips in the last six months.
most quizes are 100-500 chips

Anyone interested in trading their i5 dual /i7 quad + mobo ram for 4930k?

Token 05-07-2014 02:52 PM

How long is the sale on for?

Anyone know what the actual language used in the resale agreement is? Does it cover trades as well as just selling normally?

Im sure it says it's for yourself only.
But everybody sells them anyway.
Plus, when do you ever see DOA cpu? Or go bad after few years?
And if you ever need RMA, im sure the seller would gladly help you out.
