I remember seeing this disease on a talk show, I believe it was Maury. A kid had this disease or something very similar and couldn't go outside without being completely covered up. The kid had to cover his face with something similar to a welders face shield.

Did not click link. I've had the displeasure of seeing the effects of flesh eating bacteria. I don't know what's worse; getting eaten alive by something you can't even see or have flesh being melted off by the very thing that made life on Earth possible.
