HK automotive shops
 

I know there are lots in MK, but looking for something a bit closer to Causeway Bay where I'm staying. Found on another forum that there are some on Jaffe Rd, in between Wanchai and Causeway but can't seem to find them on Google Maps.

Does anyone have any experience with any car accessory shops in this area? Need to know ASAP as it will be a gift for a relative before I return to Vancouver soon.

Depends on what you're looking for. The Wanchai Computer (center/mall?) have a few similar 'accessory' shops. There's a few by the Wan Chai police headquarter....where all those dealerships are.

But the amount of time you waste searching online / walking around hit & miss...you might as well just take the MTR to MK where you will guarantee to find what you want.

Ya, it's been pissing rain like mad so don't really want to venture out anymore. Not worth getting soaked again. Been a few years since I've been here, and damn it's way busier than I remember.

no one buys stuff from local car accessory shops. They charge $30 for a regular signal bulb and $180 for a attachable rear view mirror.

some ppl are scared of getting scammed, i have had a few ppl bought shit from taobao & realize what they bought was didnt work after 3 days

I don't know what your friends have bought, but 99% of the time TB makes me happy.

the craziest thing I did so far was to ship my xbox360 to reball the CPU, so it won't give me RROD, $25 include shipping. I also ship my Note2, paid $20cdn and they changed the broken middle frame for me. Also, all the Xiaomi products, nothing wrong with it.

Their price is so low compare to ebay, sometime you don't even bother return the broken item, cause it costs more for shipping (about RMB $8 = $1.5cdn) than the thing itself

just bought few house hold electronics items that didnt work cuz there was info the guy left out, but taobao works for me 90% of time
