Mazda Dealership Recommendation

So I'm interested in buying a 2014 Mazda 3.

Went to Signature Mazda today and asked the receptionist to grab a salesperson for me. She came back a few minutes later and told me that all their sales people were busy but I saw a couple of them just standing there and another group chatting to themselves. I don't blame her since she actually asked but the guys there don't seem too interested. I actually bought a car there 10 years ago but whatever.

So does someone have a dealer or specific salesperson they recommend?

I'm not just looking...I've narrowed my car selection down to three so I'm legitimately looking at buying but I need to test drive and such first to compare.

I bought my rx8 and my wife's cx5 at West Coast Mazda in Pitt Meadows from sales guy named Alty. He recently got promoted to Assistant Sales Manager at West Coast Nissan in Pitt Meadows. He is still available for sales since he is under the West Coast banner. But yeah he's helped us out alot of getting us the best price and best deals...Also their service department is pretty good as well.

Talk to Patrick @ Langley Wolfe. He is the manager there.

Edit: Re-read the original post.

You should make an appointment before walking into a dealership and expecting sales people to be available to help you then and there.

I just dropped in after checking out VW across the street since I had time. They were loud as hell with a DJ outside the lot and large signs everywhere so I figured they wanted people to drop in?

And whatever...if they were just busy, then sure but as a seasoned retail slacker myself, I can tell when people are just trying to look busy so they don't actually have to do shit so meh...I'll just shop somewhere else.

That's funny, any time i've been into a dealership I always got helped right away. And it wasn't brand specific, been errwhere.

Shane @ Wolfe Langley Mazda.

Brother bought a CX-5 from him that was nearly $2K cheaper than the price offered at every other dealer (Pitt Meadows, Signature, Metrotown). All done online, no hassles at all.

Edit: Stay the hell away from the sales staff at Metrotown Mazda.

thumper 05-18-2014 05:15 PM

i vaguely remember this being posted before here... west coast and wolfe were the top recommendations, and like supafamous said, stay the hell away from metrotown.

Heard nothing but good things about Wolfe from friends. Everything from Sales to repairs/warranty-related stuff.

Another big plus for Wolfe-Langley Mazda. Patrick is great, as mentioned above.

Another nod to Wolfe Mazda in Langley.

Dealt with Trevor, and he was awesome to deal with.

Bought mine last year from Destination in Vancouver.
No issues so far. Traded in my suby and got a bit better deal than signature, but wife didn't like richmond auto mall anyways so that was out of the picture :lawl:

sorry for bumping an old thread; but want to give a shout out to Eric at Metrotown Mazda. Just purchased a cx-5 and Eric did everything possible to get us a good deal.

The same Eric who drives a Miata and is from Ontario? He was who my brother dealt with and he was a swarmy dick who offered the highest price of any dealer we talked to. He took over an hour to review my brother's trade-in and while promising to match anyone's price ended up not budging even a dollar on what he offered.

My brother ended up going to Wolfe Mazda (Shane Nakai) instead where the price was $2K lower than any other dealer and was done entirely online. When the all weather mats he ordered weren't in stock Shane upgraded the mats to the premium ones. Even the trade-in price was higher than what my brother asked for. Top notch service all around.

FWIW, my brother, parents and I have bought 6 Mazdas from Metrotown Mazda over the years but Eric's approach turned us off ever shopping with Metrotown Mazda again. I wrote them an email telling them about the terrible experience and never heard back.
