Anyone use the California Duster?

I kinda want to get one to just keep the car clean when there is slight dust on it and its not dirty enough for a full wash. but I am skeptical of it. :suspicious:

If they work I want one, every time I wash my car one end of the car is dirty again by the time I finish with the other end :fuuuuu:

I'd stay away from dusting vehicles unless you're 100% sure that only pollen is on the paint. If you've driven the vehicle, you're likely to have dust filled with miniscule rocks that will scratch the paint when moved without proper lubrication.

I have 2, but I only use them inside.

They work great inside.

^^ I have ONR but I never used it to wash my car, only as quick detailer. My car was pretty dirty before so I was scared to use ONR and just did regular washes. do you pre rinse the car before you use ONR for a wash?

I don't pre-rinse as I only use ONR when the car isn't too dirty as I'm still a bit unnerved at washing a car this way but so far it's worked great. I typically use it when the car has been parked outside for a week or two and has picked up dust/dirt from sitting around. I'm not yet ready to use it when I've been driving it in the rain for a week or two. Maybe I'll work myself up to that.

Anything you might use a California Duster on I would feel very comfortable using ONR instead.

They might be okay for interior use, but I wouldn't trust it on my paint.
Dust carries many contaminates that could be dragged across the paint surface by the duster.

I have one. It would work as intended if you didn't drive your car and you either garage parked it or left it in the middle of a field. It really does take the dust off but smears whatever contaminants are in the paint. You mind as well use quick detailer with a microfibre cloth.
