It's funny because the Flames and there fans like to talk about what an underdog they are, rebuild all that. The Canucks weren't expected to make the playoffs this year either and over achieved they only finished 4 points ahead of you. The teams were pretty close this year, it's not like the Lames came in and preformed some miraculous feat by beating a team they finished just behind in the standings.

I will conceded the Flames are on the upswing for sure with a much younger team and better futures so as far as the future goes you're further ahead then Vancouver.

If your team lost to the Canucks you would have came in here saying well we were the underdog and weren't expected to win so I'm happy with the season and how we did the exact same way you're saying now you're just happy to be in the 2nd round and we're playing with borrowed money. There is a big difference between our teams now. You are an established core with management that "retools".

We are a team that blew up our core(finally) and are in full rebuild. Hell, we were sellers at the TDL and just picked up draft picks. The flames are much more impressive for what they have done, compared to the Canucks(it's a known fact across the hockey world, no one can deny that)

To say that our teams are in similar situations because of the standings shows that your knowledge is very small regarding how organizational structure works.
