Happy Father's Day

Just as special, if not more, than Mother's Day.

So, you dads out there, good job. It's not easy being a dad - a good one.

For you deadbeat dads out there, go fly a kite! LOL

So what did your kids do for you on this special day? What are you doing or planning to do with your dad?

My father passed away long ago, but will visit his gravesite this afternoon to pay my respects. It took me forever to realize how much of an impact he has had on me.

Anyway, it's hard for people in some cultures to thank their fathers for what they do, face to face. At least I never did when my father was alive. Asian fathers are so fricken complicated. My kids, on the other hand, thank me all the time when I do stuff for them. Maybe after four generations, we've become so Canadian.

Happy Fathers Day to you as well.

My son woke me up with breakfast in bed, hand painted me a new mug which I liked because it came from him. Just getting ready for his Lacrosse game, couldn't think of a better way to spend the morning probably top it off with some lunch somewhere.

I called my Dad this morning and wished him a Happy Fathers Day, haven't seen him in a long time because of distance but it was nice catching up.

Happy Fathers day to all the fathers and to all of the mom's who are pulling double duty as well!!

I was at Town Hall Pub in Coquitlam with my kids. Dads get free breakfast (anything on the breakfast menu). Watched a little soccer and now heading out Marks Wearhouse for some deals. So far, a good day. Actually, any day spent with your kids is a good day. Chance to catch up with what's going on with them.

I'm taking my dad to some dim sum shortly, nothing beats a good lunch on fathers day

Wow, quasi, kid is really growing up fast. He'll be driving soon and bringing home girlfriends before you know it. Ah, fatherhood....... One of the good things that comes out of a relationship. Family is family - so important.

Just mowed the lawn (riding mower), took the girls for a couple passes each. They love steering it, I could see them becoming future enthusiasts and probably not posting on RS because I'll tell them to stay the fuck away from you dirty pervs.

Danced with both of them to some top 40 song in the living room after my shower before changing the channel to watch the Open. Now enjoying a caesar while wifey is cooking a couple of fat steaks for lunch. They were supposed to be for dinner, but now I guess we're going out for Father's Day Dinner. I'm fighting a cold, but will suck it up. It's gonna be a good day :)

I haven't seen my father in over ten years, so Moms gets a second Mother's Day meal from me. He wasn't there for important moments in my life, and was a piece of shit when he was.

At least you've got a good mom.

I get Mother's and Father's Day from my son. I'm lucky to have a good kid.

I might have said this before, but I have unending respect for you for raising your son on your own.

"if not more"????? How so? haha Equally special, of course, but I don't think either is more special than the other, except for single moms on Mom's day and single dads on Dad's day :)

I didn't speak to my dad for 16 years, but I call him once a year on Father's Day now. It's usually awkward, he's usually racist and kind of an asshole in general. Sometimes you just have to accept people and events and burry the hatchet and be civil. He's the only dad I've got.

Happy fathers day to all the dads who make the day worth celebrating!

And he still has a sense of humour, albeit a little weird. Okay, more than just a little.

I appreciate it but the way I see it, millions of women do it, just fine - no excuse for any man to not do the same.

Washed the 911 and took my old man out for breakfast with the intention to stop at the car shows in North Van.

Started pouring after breakfast so he said fuck it and went grocery shopping with mom instead :lol

happy father's day to all the other dads (and single moms) on RS,
most of my father's day stuff with the kids i did yesterday some fishing and play time got the boys a couple of trout rods for future outings.
today Iwoke up to two poopy diapers this morning, and made breakfast for the older twins. I wouldnt have it any other way....the time will come soon enough when they'll be older and i'll be an old man wishing they were kids again with poopy diapers. anyways it's not about me today and more about the kids.
Soon i'll be leaving to visit my dad's grave in surrey and then dinner with my mom, two sister's and their fam and brother. then it'll be to bed and to work in the morning.
