Any Recommendations for Brake Dust Repellant?? So how do you guys keep your wheels clean? Its very difficult to keep them clean especially with this weird wet weather and brake dust. I use Race Glaze Nano Wheel Sealant, but it doesn't seem to do much repelling of dirt or anything at all. It just seems to give a nice smooth finish after you apply. Hot Rims Brake Dust Barrier vs. Armorall Wheel Protectant the armor all wheel protectant seems to repel brake dust, but I'm skeptical of armor all products. |
Opti-coat is the best bet but that's $$. I use Collinite 845 and it lasts 3-4 months between treatments. To clean the wheels it's just soap, water and a micro fibre. Doesn't repel but makes it a breeze to clean. I used the Armor All and it's crap. I'd have been better off pissing on my wheels. My wheels are filthy right now and I get married next month so next long weekend I'm going take the wheels off and go with Autoglym wheel cleaner then Iron X Pro and then Collinite 845. Looking forward to seeing how clean I can get the wheels. |
