Shop for carbon fiber repair?
 

Anyone know a reputable shop that can properly repair carbon fiber? I have a few pieces on my car (see pics) that I'd like to get re-finished. I've taken my car to a few body shops and called a few places and no one seems to really understand how to properly repair glass products (carbon fiber/fiberglass) and want to charge an arm and a leg for an improper re-finish, that they won't even guarantee it will turn out good. Hoping someones had some personal experience with a local shop and could point me in the right direction. All parts are easily removable to make it easy to work on. And worst case scenario, if I can't find a shop, I'll probably just get myself some resin and sandpaper and give it a go myself.

I used to work in the industry and I hate to tell you this but you cannot repair carbon fiber from what i understand. You can re-clear over CF to give it a new look but if you are missing chunks, there isnt much you can do to make it look brand new. CF is woven, so you cannot replicate its texture

Yeah I understand that completely. I'm just looking to get it "cleaned up" as much as possible. I fully understand that it will never be like new again, but I have seen some pretty good results before and figured someone might have some experience they could share.

Try Robert Composites in North Van. They've repaired hundreds of high-end carbon fibre bikes. I see no reason why they can't repair some car parts.

The problem with repairing CF (Ive done lots) is gonna be slight discoloration over time between the epoxy originally used and what is used to repair it. The repair may seem great at first but given a couple years of sun exposure and the repair will become more noticeable.
