Shops That Can Install Side Skirts Sup revscence, my car never came with the stock ones but it never bugged me till now. So I got new type r side skirts, front lip, rear lip and spoiler. My body shop my work usually goes to installed and painted everything, besides the side skirts. They are having trouble installing the side skirts since they don't have much experience installing body kits. The stock ones had hooks that kept them up the after market ones don't. So anyone know of any shops that have experience installing body kits in the Tri City Area. I live in Coquitlam so Burnaby and Newwest is fine, but I would pefer a shop in Coquitlam. |
Grandcity autobody in Richmond, or Color Care in Richmond |
Also depends what material the sideskirts are made out of because if it's fibre glass there is only so much that can be done. |
They are made out of durafelx. I am looking for a shop in Coquitlam or closer to my area. Richmond is pretty far. Thanks for the fast replies though |
I believe that would be polyurethane then? Side skirts are easy as hell to install. I would think there would be some tutorials on how to do it...try it yourself first! If you fail, then go to the shop |
For aftermarket ones, wouldn't they usually screw to the f/r wheel wells and underneath, then 3M tape along the top? |
I took them to my friends body shop he said my stock ones had hooks that attached them the aftermarket one don't. He couldn't figure out how to get them. He said in the front and back they hook on fine, but the rest just hangs loose, and there are huge gaps because of that. |

Thanks for all the help, I think I figured out how to install them my self. I'm going to close the thread, thanks again. |
