Good USB Car Charger I bought a really good one about 2 years ago, and could actually charge my smartphone while using GPS or Bluetooth. However, in recent months, it has begun to fail me. I am now losing charge when I use either one of those functions. I don't really understand why. Anyway, where can I buy a good one that won't break the bank? |
1. Use the OEM charger (and cable) 2. Get a hold of a battery charging amp and confirm how much current is being delivered to your phone from your charger. 3. Get a hold of a battery usage app and then you will be able to tell what the issue is. As your battery gets older, it loses the ability to hold a charge. That may be your issue right there. |
Don't know of a good one. I assume the ones they sell at Futureshop/Best buy are decent. I would just tell you to avoid the cheap ones from nightmarket. |
Which phone / tablet do you use? If you use Apple devices with lightning connection.. stick with the ones from Apple store (if fact I suggest just buy it from there).. It is known that poor quality / fake devices can fry the U2 IC chip on the motherboard and render your device dead. Best have the charger linked to your Applecare account so if you complain you tell them, you got the charger from Apple store. Quote:

I use a Staples branded quick charger in my car. Been working fine for me since I bought it a couple years ago and the constant rapid charges on my devices haven't affected the battery too much. Also, basically free replacement if something goes wrong. |
Try this... http://www.ianker.com/images/pics/go...BA_BA_ND01.jpg http://www.amazon.ca/Anker%C2%AE-Por...er+car+charger I do not personally own it (Had 4x 2.1amp cig chargers before I started using this brand) but I have their 40w 5 Port wall charger and its a complete beast, charges MiniRet, Note3, Pad3, Pad2 AND Phone5 at FULL SPEED all at once. Best thing is there is no guessing which port to use as it "auto adjusts" to what device you plugged in. Basically, its 24w / 4.8a so you can charge 2 power hungry, latest gen, tablets at full speed concurrently while using them. |
the one I have is a FM transmitter and a car charger which uses the usb port . called griffin itrip http://www.thinkcomputers.org/review...niversal/1.jpg got it on sale at toys r us for like 20 dollars haha but theyre usually 50 or something like that. cheaper in America though |

OP what phone are you using? Just curious because I've been having trouble with my Samsung note 2, its losing more charge when I use it than gain charge. But, I've had good experience with buying from monoprice. lifetime warranty on the cables I believe. The 12V charger I bought from them has worked for the past year now with no troubles. |

I found the culprit, it was my shotty battery that wasn't providing a good charge. |
