Places to fix paint scratches? Pulled a rook move yesterday and scraped the side of my car against a pillar when i was pulling out. I was wondering if i would need to go to a autobody shop or a detailing shop to see if they can buff it out? Looking for a shop with a reasonable price to fix any suggestions thanks. http://i58.tinypic.com/24zxfn7.jpghttp://i57.tinypic.com/2gx4aqa.jpg |
Would not buff out as its down to primer. If you want to do it on the cheap, polish the area and just use touchup paint all around ~$40. If you go to the body shop, they're going to sand the quarter panel and repaint. Maybe around $300-500 to get that done |
Would the touchup paint be noticeable if i went down that route? |
Depends how you're doing it. Its on a reaaally tricky area so be careful of runs. It will still be noticeable though, but how noticeable will depend on your patience |
paint touch up we would need to paint the 1/4 panel blend door |
Is that white paint transfer from the post you rubbed up against? If so, you should be able to clean that off so it'll look a lot better right away. Other than that, you're heading to a body shop. If you're near my shop, give me a call and you can pop by and we can take a look at it for you. |
so did you paint touch up or go to a body shop? |
