And we don't have a statute of limitations per-say, but if we did that applies to being charged, not caught. To get away with it you have to go X amount of time without being charged for it, not X amount of time without being caught.

lol sorry it makes my head hurt too ;)

if a Country that Australia has a treaty with (Canada, etc.) considers an offense to meet their own threshold for extradition, then Australia will also consider that offense extraditable. Even if that offense would normally not meet Australias own requirements for extradition (granted there are political/human rights exceptions)
