WTF is wrong with people? On June 26, a car pulled up at three in the morning to a gravel pit in Aldergrove... a door was heard opening and closing, and the car drove away. After that dogs were heard barking, and three Chihuahuas were spotted there alone. Three days later, two of them were captured by a local rescue... the third remains at large. She's had three traps out baited with food and with the help of volunteers has been checking them at least three times a day, every day for three weeks now... but it's 120 acres of wildlife area. I don't know why I'm posting this here now, but a post of hers a little while ago, about sitting the middle of the gravel piles and crying for the little lost soul, was just heartbreaking. |
I don't understand this either. Why not just take them to their local SPCA and surrender them or post on CL hoping someone would take them? People are just so irresponsible. |

Hey folks, got a happy update to my earlier post about the dogs dumped in the gravel pit: #3 has been found! Turns out the missing dog was spotted and picked up a day or two before the other two were rescued... the person took him to Chilliwack Animal Control, and connected Dhana Metta Rescue Society when he/she saw the craigslist ad. The three have now been reunited at DMRS and are all happier, friendlier, and less scared now that they're back together! |
Here's the video of the doggies reuniting https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10203573789761674 You might want to mute the volume. Her voice gets a little annoying |
