How trustworthy are the land lords??

hmm, this is a follow up thread to the one asking about places to search for a home.

I found a place that is 3 BR / 2 Washroom for $1700 that is upstairs suite. I noticed that the full place is getting renovated within a few weeks and everything is taken apart. The place looks dirty as hell and is on the process of being fixed. One of the major issues is a big crack on the back balcony, they said it will take a few extra weeks to fix it and the huge ass mold underneath it which is the garage that doesn't work. Being 1985, im guessing there are some damages.

What would happen if they would take rent after the interior is fixed and the balcony / garage isn't? Can they stall into oblivion and not fix anything when they collect rent / signed papers?

"How trustworthy are the land lords??"

why the fuck are you asking about unknown ppl's trustworthiness on the internet?

if you have to ask, it's probably not worth the risk
