Adobe Flash = No Sound Reach out to the RS Tech-experts.. Each time I install the newest version of Adobe Flash all sound gets disabled (best way I can put it). No system sounds, no youtube video sounds, nothing. Once I remove Flash, sound is back on. Shitty part is Flash player is required for many videos. I've tested this with Firefox , Chrome and IE all the same. The drivers for my soundcard are all up to date per Windows Update check. Anyone else have this issue and found a solution? The mozilla guides are not very helpful. I'm running windows 8.0 TIA!! |
Do you have multiple playback devices? Take a look at the Sound settings. Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray, and click playback devices. If you have more than one item, make sure your preferred sound output is the default device. |
^ I only have a speaker (i'm using a laptop). |
How about the mixer? Are there any muted sources there? (Left-click on that speaker icon, and then click Mixer.) |
^ all unmuted. |
this has happened on one of my work computers i have tried everything with no luck. you can try to go to chrome://plugins then under shockwave there should be two of them. disable one and see if sound is working if not switch them around (ie disable the other one and enable the disabled one) |
I use firefox (latest version) |
my parents computer had another effect from the latest adobe. the plug in doesn't even load up on the webpages that require it. |
Install an earlier version of flash, google flash player version archive and it should come up. My computer crashes with the latest version so im running 12.0 with no problems |
^ which version of firefox / chrome / ie are you running with flash 12? can you provide the exact version of flash (mine is currently 14.0.145). |
Firefox 30.0 Adobe Flash 12.0.0.43 |
