Parking Bylaw Question... Read the City of Vancouver by laws and they don't seem clear. - If a meter is in effect until 10:00pm, does that mean you can park for free after 10:00pm? - If a meter has a time limit (2-3 hrs), does that mean after 10:00pm I can park more than the time limit? Or is the time limit always in effect? Never occurred to me until now that I'm looking for parking for fireworks. |
Yes you can park for free after 10pm with no time limit... |
Yes to both |
Good question to ask, in other parts of the world it means no parking at all. |
That's what I thought. Thanks for the info. Reason I asked is I was looking for parking near Burrard and 4th (along with a LOT of other cars). All the side street metered spots were taken, but there were a bunch of prime ones right on 4th between Burrard and Pine that people were avoiding. I figured they must have some additional restrictions and that's why people didn't want to risk parking there. Parked in one anyway, and they had the same restrictions as all the other meters. |
