^ I prefer armour first, cuz you're gonna wheel with whatever wheels and suspension you have.

those things are only worth it if you live in the states and buy from carmax with their warranty. otherwise, have the amount of money the vehicle is worth sitting around for repairs.

Im thinking armour is going to be first anyways, i have some scrap heavy plate steel that im going to cut up and put on the xterra to protect the weak bits

First thing i did with my Xterra was a basic spacer and shackle lift kit. Then came the tires. When i upgraded to the Shrock front and rear with sliders, i had to get a much better suspension. Went the full meal deal, new leafs, shackles, upper control arms and coilovers.

Let me know if you need any help of advise, i've done all the work myself so i can give you some tips.

i just dont like the look of the xterra with the Shrock front and rear, yes it allows way better approach angles, i just think it doesn't look that good.
