Found: Iphone 5c blue Found an iphone 5c blue on saturday, there's no sim card in it and it's locked to bell. You can claim it back if you lost one if you can provide me something that shows a matching imei/serial number (receipt, box etc) |
Is there a passcode? If not, are you able to go to the homescreen and identify the person through social apps/contact list? Good on you for attempting to return the phone :) |
no sim. im sure it will be saved on the sim no??.... |

the phone's wiped there's nothing on it otherwise i call them. almost feels like this phone was stolen by someone and then he dropped it. but then again it's not blacklisted |
Just drop it off at the Apple store, they have access to the subscriber database and can call the owner. |

I wouldn't drop it off at local PD.. it'll probably go no where. I would go to the apple store and see what the options are. |
You may be able to contact bell. I would try that before apple or pd. |
why not post a billboard where you found it. |

doesn't really matter where it was found considering it sounds like a stolen phone with no sim card and the thief dropped it |
If you can't find an owner for it, want to give me a bro deal? My 4s is on it's last legs. Can trade elbow grease or mad dome :p |
I think the fail was unnecessary, but any way, hopefully someone here on Revscene works for Bell, or a Bell dealer and gets in touch with you. Some dealers may have the ability to look up the IMEI to find out who the owner of the phone is, but even then, it's hard to really tell who the "actual" owner is (i.e. if the phone was sold or not.) If it was stolen, it would have either ended up on the black list or the phone was stolen after the fact. |
i will contact my friend that works at a dealer and see what the imei is attached to (technically that's against privacy law) but it'll show if it's someone's phone or whether it's reported stolen. i'm just doing this for some good karma :D beside it's an iphone 5c.. who wants an iphone 5c? my guess is it's prolly some kid's phone their parents got them.. someone stole it and dropped it. Maybe i'll end up making some kids really happy.. we'll see where it goes |
is it locked to a carrier? carrier have the imei stored and tied to a phone number/account. if it's locked, you can start from there. |
Good on you for trying to find the owner! |

I have handed in many phones to the PD and they have recovered the to the rightful owner |
we are going to try to dig up the owner on bell tmw using the imei search. as for going to PD i guess it's useful if there was a sim card or some info on the phone. but if it's a wiped phone with no info and if my friend can't find the info on bell.. then it's useless.. we'll see |
i know i might get failed for this, but if none of that works then just sell the phone for decent price & then donate the money to a nice local charity |
