converting USB printer into a wireless Wi-Fi printer?

i have a brother all in one printer that is USB only. i am restricted to just the print option when connected to the router. it was suggested to me that i convert it to wi-fi instead to overcome this.

so i was wondering if anyone has done so with success? if so, what brand are you using?
