2001 xterra full speaker upgrade recommendation

Currently have a pioneer p3200BT head unit.

AVH-P3200BT - In-Dash Double-DIN DVD Multimedia AV Receiver with Built-in Bluetooth and 5.8" Widescreen Display | Pioneer Electronics USA

I have $800 to future shop I have to use and upgrading my cars sound is the way I want to go.

I mostly listen to rap and electronic music. Don't want to put in a subwoofer/box as I do use the whole trunk a lot with work.

Any recommendations on what's decent for new rear speakers and front. It is a 6 speaker setup with the small tweeters in the front door. Not apposed to getting a small amp for the speakers as well as I need to use up all the credit.

What kind of vehicle is this for?

FS doesn't have a great selection of speakers. I would just buy the best they have.

Sorry just clued in when I saw the title.

Kicker and Infinity are probably the best they carry. Not the greatest for SQ but still better than OEM. You could get better speakers for cheaper from one of the RS Sponsors.

I would maybe recommend getting the deck + a Kicker amp from FS. That would use up almost all $800. I'm sure we could get you into far better speakers for less than what FS sells their "high end" stuff for.

If you don't plan on adding a sub I would strongly suggest making sure getting the doors sound deadened properly regardless of which speaker set you go with. It'll give you a huge increase in mid bass (which you'll need if you're not adding a sub).

I actually currently have the deck already installed. Which is why I had to spend it all on speakers from fs.

You could probably sell the FS credit at a bit of a loss and buy speakers from one of the sponsors and come out ahead overall.

Also if you want to add bass but still need the whole trunk something that's easy to remove like a Bazooka tube might be nice.

If that's the case I would either just buy the best they have at FS or sell your credit. It's really hard for us to recommend something since we know we have far superior product for less money lol. $449 for Infinity Kappa's....they're not horrible speakers, but for the same money getting something from Focal/Morel/Audison/Hybrid would be so much better. Either myself or Soundsgood could get you into a better speaker for less money.

I would suggest taking one of your favourite cd's into FS to listen to their very best. Then go to an independent shop like BPG or SoundsGood to hear the differences. You might get some insight as to what you can do to make your car perfect and not take up the space that you thought. As professionals in our field, we have the experience and product knowledge to get you what you want.
On a side note, we can trade you for your FS credit so you're not stuck dealing with them. Life is full of choices...what will you do with yours?

Its like having a gift certificate for Macdonalds. You never actually use it yourself - just 're-gift' it to somebody you don't really care about. Haha!

Please don't insult McDonalds like that..

@OP: You can generally sell a GC for 10% off, which means you'd have $720 cash towards some awesome equipment from BPG/SoundsGood.

You WILL regret it if you just buy from FS. Guaranteed..

FS is brutal in general, but they especially butcher car electronics.

I would just like to say future shop does have their hack installers but some are awesome installer that take care of your vehicle. Just my two bits :)

Agreed. One particular one on Broadway has many years of experience and actually cares about what he does.

I wonder who it is? ;)

Product selection is still whack @ FS though.

Thanks cman, as for product selection I won't disagree with 100 percent there. But we try your best to please with what we have :)
