Internet Security programs.. teach me My main concern is for online banking, I can get pretty paranoid.. Which programs are the better ones to use? I just bought Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium ($25/year not bad) and so far is working. The function/features it provides is pretty good... Does anyone have a better suggestion? Thanks.. |
I just use Microsoft Security Essentials. It's free. That and common sense, like not clicking on ads on porn sites. |
I have never used an anti virus software and have never had a virus on my windows computers. I don't know how people can muck them up so quickly. Just be conscious of what you download, what you click on, and your cookies. |
I usually have safe practice when surfing on the webs... but you never know if hackers somehow placed some sort of keylogging code or something on a well known site and no one realized until its too late... |
I use spybot search and destroy (free) to keep tabs on new entries into the system registry. Working well so far. |
I usually go with ESET or Kaspersky, though I'm starting to lean away from Kaspersky after a couple people I know contracted malware while using it (not computer-savvy people who know how to stay malware-free). Obviously common sense is your best defense, but that isn't always a possibility with a shared computer. |

Most people end up having their personal information hijacked due to phishing (a hacker creates a website that looks nearly identical to the original website and steals the info you enter, most of the time u can tell it's fake by the URL). In terms of viruses, just use a free antivirus program like AVAST. It's all you need. For spyware, configure Malwarebytes and schedule the program to run it once a week. As for shady websites, download and install Avast! online Security.. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...eacbdmki?hl=en |

Also, what is Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit? I read it on malwarebytes website but still couldnt figure out what it does? finds exploits on website or on my computer?? |
I run MSE (free from Microsoft) for antivirus, Spybot S&D 1.6.2 for anti-spyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for, well, malware. Thus far I've never had a problem that I wasn't expected to happen on any of my machines *knock on wood*. |
I've been using Kaspersky Internet Security and never had any problems. They always go on sale for 20$ on boxing day |
