1991 GTI 8v *2 wheel trades* *edit* price drop! $2500 obo i recently purchased this GTI from a co worker for the intent of using it as a winter beater. two problems though. 1) i dont have anywhere to store this car, or my current car while they aren't in use. and 2) this car is almost too good to use as a winter beater. it deserves an owner who can really make it shine 1991 Volkswagen GTI 8v - 327,000km (thats less than 15k a year) - 5 speed manual - 99% rust free - shockinly original. not many after market parts but all oem stuff is there. - drivers side speaker grille is cracked the bad - i think it needs aircare (i'll be day insuring it on friday and taking it in) - headliner is not ripped, but it is starting to sag - no head unit for some reason - seats could use steam cleaning as they have sat under seat covers for the last few years - coolant temp sensor needs changing (also going to do this weekend with a coolant flush) - drivers door handle needs some JB weld on it. the good - teardrops with almost brand new snow tires - american racing 15" with good michelin pilot tires - i believe all the previous owners have been co workers of mine; its has been loved in the past for sure. - new exhaust with aftermarket muffler - new battery and new alternator - k&n air filter - lowering springs and shocks (i believe tokiko blue's with h&r's) - wired for subwoofer; amp hidden under rear seat. subwoofer included but dont think its good anymore - carpet is minty mint. including trunk carpet too - 99% rust free. tiny loonie sized on the hatch - all exterior trim pieces accounted for. including sunroof visor, eyebrows and all the jacking point covers on the side skirts - momo steering wheel, perfect dubberz size - autotech strut bar - oem roof rack - oem parcel tray cover in mint condition what can i say. its extremely clean and just needs some love from a dedicated owner to really make it shine. i've spent the last few weeks working on it and cleaning it up. it starts up quick and revs up extremely smooth and fast. im currently removing the flare kit and exterior trim to spray black once again. if it doesn't sell i'll just hang on to it and keep updating it. i also removed a few things from the engine bay and "gunk"ed the engine bay to clean it up. got rid of a lot of old dirt. i also POR15'd under the battery as preventattive maintinance, but there was no rust in the first place. i am mainly looking for trades of the two wheeled area, whether it is a modified ruckus or a japanese sport bike. if it doesn't sell i am more then happy to keep this gti. i just dont know where i'll keep it. i'll get better pictures soon, but here is an idea. needs a wash obviously. https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5570/...09e2c757_c.jpg https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3869/...8c1aab42_c.jpg https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5568/...4a9d578d_c.jpg https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3868/...1d922835_c.jpg https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5558/...87133c93_c.jpg https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3925/...e5fcdac7_c.jpg ^^ ignore the loose wiring, it has been cleaned up since obviously. |
I forgot to mention, if I get offered my asking price, I will include a set of ronal teddy bears painted as panda's in the sale. Might as well try to clear my friends garage lol |

Bump! Fan temp switch replaced and the temp gauge and radiator fan work flawless now. Also been offered a few bikes, but not looking or poor running project bikes. Thanks |
Sold. Couldn't bring myself to let it go to a stranger so decided to sell it cheap within the family. Thanks |
